I rewatched SPEAK about two weeks ago. I had first seen it 2 or 3 years ago, but had missed the first 20 minutes or so.

ANYWAYS, I rewatched it on youtube about 3 times over about a weeks time, then checked the book out from the library and didnt put it down until I was finished. The book and the movie are both so amazing. I finally found the DVD at blockbuster & bought it....and rewatched it another time [heh]. After returning the book to the library, I couldnt stand it, and HAD to buy the book. I reread it and Im currently witholding an overdue audiocassette of the book from the library lol. I listen to it at night, so i fall asleep during it, so everyday I have to rewind the stupid cassette tape and find where I left off...I DEFINATELY DO NOT miss cassette tapes!!!!!! they are a complete pain. Okieeee, so I dont know how I got off subject there...so to sum it up, Speak is one of my favorite movies now.

Melinda: "Dave Petrakis is my new hero"

SMART PEOPLE
I expected alot more from this movie,
but it was just alright in my opinion...
It had its funny moments though.

ATONEMENT
I thought this movie was going to be
a new favorite of mine, but it ended up
just being okay. The ending kind of
pissed me off. Im not sure if Im going
to finish reading the book now.

Okay, so Ive watched quite a few movies lately, but Im not really in the mood to post right now..
soooo Im just going to talk about my [one of many] true loves ;)

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

Holy crap. It was love at first sight.
I was laughing from the very beginning until the very last sequence.
...yes, im the person in the theater that laughs at everything and everyone hates!! SHUT UP.
Seth and James were simply amazing.
theyre my heroes.
corny but true. haha.
That movie got me so keyed up & made me act ever more ridiculously obnoxious.

 Quick Replay of the night:
picked up taylor.
killed some time.
picked up matt.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
got suuuuper hyper.
took matt home.
came home..but not for long..waaay too hyper to stay.
HEB :)
Taco Bell
home to watch That 70s show.

ooookay. im almost finished giving useless information.

first, I picked up my new glasses prescription....
the left lense is friggin THICK. Its so heavy and makes my glasses tilt, because Im near-sighted in one eye, and far-sighted in the other.....its weird. Anyways, I havent had my glasses all week because I refuse to get a spare pair of glasses, so Ive had a terrible headache all week from reading and staring at the computer screen without them. My eye place is getting me special made lenses..whoopie.
the doc says to wear them full time....yeah right.

THEN I picked my jeep up from the shop...they did absolutely nothing in my opinion.
The only thing they did was make the "check engine" light go off and write out a bill, because it was missing and acting up all the way home from the shop. stupid dealership.

The Dark Knight
ahhh yeah. So I saw it the 2nd...and 3rd night it was out.
AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING

STOP-LOSS
I absolutely loved this movie.
It actually ended up being way different than I thought it was going to be. Like, the movies plot/story/everything pretty much wasnt what I was expecting...but it was still a great film. very emotional.

The Secret Window
This was a really good movie. Johnny Depp was incredible..and the ending was pretty suprising. So I fully enjoyed watching it.

Ordinary People
I am completely in love with this movie. Timothy Hutton's acting was so amazing.
I couldnt help but sympathize and love him in this.

A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon
aww River *sigh* ..so adorable.
Only HE can be a total man-whore, and still be so lovable.

I really liked this movie. River played the piano and everything about his character was adorable. Like, his whole Demeanor.

And the award for best hair goes tooooo...uh, RIVER, hello!!!
Whenever he would come on the screen, all I could think about was how much I love his hair. hah.

[spoilerish]
I saw BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE last night.
It was pretty good, but i was amused at the fact that I was suppose to believe that Hugh Dancy could hold his own in a fight with werewolves!! I mean, hes adorable...not tough.

I also saw THE MUMMY.

It was an alright movie.
But I fully enjoyed watching it, simply because it has Brendan Fraser in it...before he started to...age.
I mean, hes the reason Ive watched George of the Jungle so many times. heh.
Okay, now stop and appreciate..

Man, now im in the mood to discuss Brendan Fraser..soooo, I guess I will :)

AMERICAN PSYCHO
I loved American Psycho!! It was a blast to watch. Patrick Bateman is such a well developed character...and it doesnt hurt that Christian Bale is the perfect male specimen.

***I Love You to Death TRAILER***
I love this movie to death!!! seriously.

ROSWELL
oh my goodness.
I love finding new obsessions. This show is amazing!!!
And I love that I can even like the lead girl in this. Most shows the main girl or w/e is totally whiney and moody. But Liz is pretty cool. Everyone in this show is likable!! Max is absolutely adorable. I LOVE his ears for some reason. heh. And Michael is hilarious. Liz's best friend Maria is such a spaz, I love her. Im serious, I like every character pretty much. I even like the crazy ex-boyfriend Kyle and the town sheriff who wants to bust them for being aliens.
Im only about halfway through the first season, but Im watching them pretty fast.

Im not really in the mood to post, but I havent been posting much lately, so.....here goes....

I saw Hard Candy starring Ellen Page.
can you say PSYCHO?!
I didnt really like this movie. It was kind of entertaining to watch the guy squirm while being "castrated", but other than that, it wasnt for me.

Ive started watching Joan of Arcadia season 2,
since I forgot to move it down on my queue list on netflix.
Its pretty good so far.
I love Chris Marquette in this. He will always be Adam to me.

Whats funny though is, Luke, the total nerd in this show will be playing Mike, the popular guy, in Twilight. heh.

The Eye
This movie was pretty good. Im making an attempt to watch "scary" films.
I usually try to avoid them, but that cuts out such a huge amount of movies that could possibly be great.
Since this didnt look too bad, I started with it. It had a really cool story line and great acting. It wasnt too scary, it just has creepy faces popping up a few times.

I also saw Dont Mess With the Zohan last week.
It was Adam Sandler, so it was, of course, hilarious!!

Wow, thats it? Thats all Ive watched? Man, I have no clue what Ive been doing with my time!! My cousin stayed with me for 2 weeks, but other than that, I have no clue. I HAVE been rewatching movies like crazy though.

MOVIES ILL BE WATCHING
These are the ones at the top of my queue list.
Hugh Dancy <3

Christian Bale <3

Mark Wahlberg <3

As for books, I havent been reading much lately :(
Ive read a little of Parasite Rex, and its pretty interesting.

twilight behind the scene VIDEOS.

Well, I figured that it was time to make another post about TWILIGHT!!...and Rob. heh
Dont take my lack of posts on the subject as a lack of enthusiasm about the film, Rob and/or Breaking Dawn.

random:
ROB ranked #1

For the past few weeks I've found myself IMpatiently awaiting July 1st...When Popstar magazine comes out with a Twilight Spread. I havent had any interest in popstar mag in about four or five years. It should be refreshing to read about something other than Hannah Montana or the Jonas Brothers....although Im sure theyre going to be featured in it too.

Robert Pattinson's film HOW TO BE was chosen to appear in the Rhode Island International Film Festival which takes place in Providence, Rhode Island from August 5th to August 10th.

Click to view full size image

In some videos of that Ive watched of Kristen Stewart, she seems sort of ...snobby?..Thats not exactly the word Im looking for, really..but it seems like she doesnt have much of a personality. Idk, maybe shes shy....or shes just so dazzled by Rob, that she doest know what to do with herself. heh.
..or it could be the FREEZING COLD WEATHER that shes having to stand in while being interviewed.

Also, during the MTV movie awards pre-show, when she and Rob were being interviewed, the girl was asking about an off screen romance. Rob starting joking about asking Kristen to marry him....and she wouldnt even go along with it!! And then when the girl giving the interview turns her head Kristen laughs but then she gives the weirdest look!! I dont even know what the look meant.
idk, i suppose Im just overanalyzing.

 ps.

My dad actually requested that I rent this on Netflix.
So I was completely suprised when I liked it!! hah
Its pretty Hilarious.

Im so excited! I requested Parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer weeks ago, and it finally came into the library!!!!!!!!!!! I havent read much of it, but its got some disgustingly awesome pictures of parasites and a William Blake poem(random but, yay).

=D
Oh goodness, The Host...sigh.
I didnt give it enough attention in that short crappy post!
There is no question about it..Im going to be reading this over and over again.
I have to admit, I thought that it had a slow start. I was interested from the beginning, but I wasnt exactly enthralled for the first few chapters..i was mostly confused, because they hadnt explained everything yet!! I love absolutely everyone in this book...except maybe the annoying tracker..she bugged me. Anyways, Ill stop there before I spoil anything!

THE HAUNTED AIRMAN
I found this movie on youtube while looking for The Bad Mothers Handbook. Some of the best movies I've seen, I found on accident. Robert Pattinson's performance in this was spot on. Plus, he looked amazing..as always.

After being paralyzed during the war, he's become a bit disturbed and is sent to stay at a place to get help. He has terrible nightmares, hallucinations of spiders crawling all over him, and feels that there is someone in the shadows. He doesnt trust his doctor, because he thinks hes evil and controls the shadows.

>huge spoilers below<
His aunt/lover ((disturbing? a bit.)) comes to stay with him for a while at this place, but he cant get help from her because the stupid slut is sleeping with his doctor now and is totally enthralled with the doc and brainwashed basically.
Im not positive about this, but what I took from it was, that the doctor wanted him to kill himself like the other patient, and thats why he put the shaving knife back by his bed. But Im not too sure if he wanted him to kill the aunt or not..But I think he did, because he was just standing there over him after he did it and didnt look shocked or bothered at all.

ON THE EDGE
I loved this movie so much. Cillian Murphy did such an amazing job in this.
His mother died when he was young and his father just recently drank himself to death
...so what does he do??..
He picks up a chick and some blow, steals his father urn, then drives a convertable off of a cliff in an unsuccessful suicide attempt.
Instead of death, he gets a broken pinky finger and three months in the loony bin. There, he gets a crush on a totally messed up chick and befriends one of the other patients (jonathan jackson).

Ive officially decided to read all of the Harry Potter books, so I read the first one the other night, and half of the second one on friday. Theyre really good!! Before I read the third one I want to read The Host by Stephenie Meyer...which Ive been dying to read. I also read "The Last Days" last week. Its the sequel to PEEPS. Both books were so good, but in different ways because the story lines were so different.

I saw The Last Day starring the amazingly gorgeous and talented Gaspard Ulliel. I really liked it, even though some parts kind of confused me a little.

I also saw SLC Punk, which was awesome. Its funny and smart and so entertaining..i loved it!!

As for the whole "going back and watching every single episode of the X-Files", I HAVE started that!!
And Felicity, season three is so good!!
