I rewatched SPEAK about two weeks ago. I had first seen it 2 or 3 years ago, but had missed the first 20 minutes or so.

ANYWAYS, I rewatched it on youtube about 3 times over about a weeks time, then checked the book out from the library and didnt put it down until I was finished. The book and the movie are both so amazing. I finally found the DVD at blockbuster & bought it....and rewatched it another time [heh]. After returning the book to the library, I couldnt stand it, and HAD to buy the book. I reread it and Im currently witholding an overdue audiocassette of the book from the library lol. I listen to it at night, so i fall asleep during it, so everyday I have to rewind the stupid cassette tape and find where I left off...I DEFINATELY DO NOT miss cassette tapes!!!!!! they are a complete pain. Okieeee, so I dont know how I got off subject there...so to sum it up, Speak is one of my favorite movies now.

SMART PEOPLE
I expected alot more from this movie,
but it was just alright in my opinion...
It had its funny moments though.

ATONEMENT
I thought this movie was going to be
a new favorite of mine, but it ended up
just being okay. The ending kind of
pissed me off. Im not sure if Im going
to finish reading the book now.

GILDA RADNER:

Okay, so Ive watched quite a few movies lately, but Im not really in the mood to post right now..
soooo Im just going to talk about my [one of many] true loves ;)

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS

Holy crap. It was love at first sight.
I was laughing from the very beginning until the very last sequence.
...yes, im the person in the theater that laughs at everything and everyone hates!! SHUT UP.
Seth and James were simply amazing.
theyre my heroes.
corny but true. haha.
That movie got me so keyed up & made me act ever more ridiculously obnoxious.

 Quick Replay of the night:
picked up taylor.
killed some time.
picked up matt.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
got suuuuper hyper.
took matt home.
came home..but not for long..waaay too hyper to stay.
HEB :)
Taco Bell
home to watch That 70s show.

ooookay. im almost finished giving useless information.

first, I picked up my new glasses prescription....
the left lense is friggin THICK. Its so heavy and makes my glasses tilt, because Im near-sighted in one eye, and far-sighted in the other.....its weird. Anyways, I havent had my glasses all week because I refuse to get a spare pair of glasses, so Ive had a terrible headache all week from reading and staring at the computer screen without them. My eye place is getting me special made lenses..whoopie.
the doc says to wear them full time....yeah right.

THEN I picked my jeep up from the shop...they did absolutely nothing in my opinion.
The only thing they did was make the "check engine" light go off and write out a bill, because it was missing and acting up all the way home from the shop. stupid dealership.

[1] Beastie Boys

The Beastie boys are my favorite music group!! They are amazing.
Consists of:
-Michael Diamond (Mike D)
-Adam Horovits (Adrock)<3
-Adam Yauch (MCA)
A hiphop group from New York that formed in 1979 (and still going strong). Originally a punk band, but switched over to hiphop and released their debut album licensed to Ill in 1986. I would say the most well known song of theirs would be "Fight For Your Right To Party" =]
-Random Lyrics from "Hold it now-hit it":
Im down with Mike D. and it ain't no baloney
For real, not phony O.E. and Rice-a-Roni
&&&&
Hip-hop, body rockin' doing the do
Beer drinking, breath stinking, sniffing glue
Belly flipping, always illing, busting caps
My name's Mike D. and I write my own snaps
I'm a peep-show seeking on the forty-deuce
I'm a killer at large and I'm on the loose
Pistol packing, Monkey drinking, no money bum
I come from Brooklyn 'cause that's where I'm from
Cheap-skate, perpetrating - money hungry jerk
Everyday I drink a "O.E." and I don't go to work
You drippy nose knuckle-head - you're we behind the ears
You like men - and we like beer.

[haha, i looove that song]

[2] My So-Called Life

BEST. SHOW. EVER.
Basically the show is about A 15 year old girl, Angela Chase [Claire Danes], figuring out who she is, and basically trying to live through
high school. The show also deals with the problems the people around her are having.
Rayanne Graff [angela's new best friend] deals with drug and alcohol abuse, and also, a single-mother who is rarely around.
Rickie Vasquez [wilson cruz] is a gay bi-racial (Hispanic-Black) 15-year-old boy raised by his uncle, who physically abuses him.
Jordan Catalano [Jared Leto] is Angela's love interest. She is infatuated with him and eventually starts...maybe sorta kinda dating him.
He is popular, but a total slacker who rarely shows up to class.
Brian Krakow is Angela's socially awkward neighbor. He has known her pretty much her whole life. He is a complete
nerd, and is in love with Angela.
Sharon Cherski is Angela's friend from childhood, whom Angela is just now pulling away from.
Angelas parents, Patty and Graham have issues throughout the show as well. Her uptight mother supports the family, while her "cooler" dad comes close to having an affair..twice. Her little sister Danielle is always being ignored, but looks up to Angela and wants to be like her.
The show lasted one season [19 episodes]. 1994-1995.

[3] Grunge Music
[alice in chains, nirvana, pearl jam]

[smashing pumpkins, soundgarden, stone temple pilots]
The grunge music genre started around the mid-1980s in Washington, but wasnt made popular until the early 90's mostly by Nirvana
and Pearl Jam.
Lyrics are typically angst-filled, often addressing themes such as social alienation, apathy, confinement, and a desire for freedom.
Grunge music groups dont mess around with theatrics and such, theyre there to play their music...so they all look
a bit disheveled...in a good way, of course. Flannel FTW.

[3] Orson Scott Card

Born August 24, 1951. Novelist, English Professor
He is known mostly for writing science fiction.
My favorite book of his would have to be Ender's Game which is set in Earth's future where mankind has barely
survived two invasions by the "buggers," an insectoid alien race, and the International Fleet is preparing for war.
In order to find and train the eventual commander for the anticipated third invasion, the world's most talented
children, including the extraordinary Ender Wiggin, are taken into a training center known as the Battle School
at a very young age. The book takes place around the year 2135. [wiki synopsis]

[5]invasion

The Invasion TV show is a drama sci-fi series about an attempt by aliens to take over the Earth. A small town
near the Everglades in Florida is cut off from the rest of the world by a hurricane. In the middle of the storm,
Rose Poole sees lights floating towards the water that appear totally unaffected by the violent winds. When Rose's
father finds her mother naked and with no memory of the storm, he puts his daughter's account of the lights
together with his ex-wife's strange behavior and begins to realize that something strange is happening!
[lasted one season]
